APC crisis dangerous for Buhari’s government – Shehu Sani

 Social critic-turned Senator, Shehu Sani (APC Kaduna Central) has warned that the online wrangling within the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, poses a serious threat to the young administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sani, who stated this yesterday while exchanging views with newsmen in Kaduna, asserted that the APC has found itself in a tight corner over the National Assembly crisis, stressing that the party is witnessing a post- revolutionary crisis.
According to him, “It is true that our party is facing a serious post-election crisis in terms of the challenge of uniting all APC senators. Mistakes were made but, naturally, all revolutions are always faced with post-revolutionary crises.

“And we are now facing our own post-revolutionary crisis and by the grace of God, we are going to overcome it.
“Those from PDP who thought that the division that exists within the ranks of the senators of the APC is an opportunity for them to re-establish themselves in power are making a very big mistake. We have a very big problem among ourselves but it is going to be addressed.
“I have to commend the effort of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in trying to reconcile both the Unity Forum led by Senator Lawan and the Like Minds led by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki. Such kind of reconciliation is needed for the party to make progress.
“Divisions within the senators, if not addressed, pose a serious threat to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and his capacity to deliver. President Buhari needs APC senators to be united and in one voice and to also work collectively and in harmony with policies and programmes of the Muhammadu Buhari administration,” he stated

Basically, Shehu Sani empower his followers (People) using his own beliefs and personal strength. Simply put, he inspires his followers.

In servant leadership, Shehu Sani takes care of the needs of his followers (People) first before he takes care of his own. Instead of acting like a king to his subordinate, Shehu Sani acts as a servant. He feels and presume that he need to serve his followers with the last drop of his blood rather than force upon them what they want.

Shehu Sani as a quiet leader leads by example. He does not tell people what to do. He does not force people to do things that they are not willing to do. He does not give long speeches, sweeping statements and clear cut orders. He does what need to be done, inspiring his followers to do the same.
